How Can Animals Benefit from Chiropractic Adjustments?

Adjustments to animals can improve their ability to adapt to environmental stressors and heal more effectively. Adjustments allow the animal to move in a balanced way with less pain if they are compensating for a conformational flaw or an injury.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment for animals is a gentle impulse applied by hand or with an activator to stimulate motor neurons to reset the neurological communication from the brain to the tissues that hold the joint in alignment.

Done right, these adjustments put the joint into an optimal biomechanical position which allows the nerve to fully communicate with the surrounding tissues, thus reducing muscle spasms and pain. It will also improve range of motion, stability, muscular strength, and reflexes.

Dr. Massey is an amazing chiropractor, and practitioner in general. My SUPER geriatric greyhound is alive and well today as a result of her incredible expertise and care. I am fortunate enough to also receive her care. As someone with a mighty cluster of complicated autoimmune diseases, it’s necessary for me to work with the best of the best of practitioners. That is Dr. Massey, the best! We drive a total of 5 hours in order to see her/recieve treatment. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Both my dog and I are very grateful for her care and look forward to a healthier future.

Dr. Massey is an incredibly skilled Chiropractor! She has helped my 15 year old Dachshund with a variety of issues over the years and I credit his ongoing health to her care.

Dr. Massey is so good with my dog, he is actually happy to see her and runs right up to greet her. The adjustments she did for him have corrected his stance so he now stands squarely. I can recommend her without hesitation.

When I first brought my old dog Cash to Dr. Massey I thought I’d have to put him down within a couple of months. He was falling on the stairs to the yard and was clearly in pain, despite pain medication prescribed by his vet and laser therapy three times per week. He started improving immediately from Dr. Massey’s treatment, and gradually I was able to reduce his pain medication substantially. Then the rehab exercises that the vet had recommended started working instead of causing more pain. With the rehab now working, he has rebuilt much of the muscle mass he lost, so he seldom has trouble with the stairs. I’m impressed and deeply grateful for the amazing improvement in Cash’s mobility and wellness while he’s been under Dr. Massey’s care.
